asif kapadia - director, amy, senna, the warrior
Director / Writer / Producer Asif Kapadia first gained recognition with his student film THE SHEEP THIEF (Royal College of Art) which won an award at the Cannes Film Festival. Kapadia's debut feature THE WARRIOR (Film4), won BAFTA awards for Outstanding British Film & Best Debut Feature, as well as being nominated for Best Film Not in the English Language. Kapadia’s SENNA (Universal Pictures / Working Title), told the thrilling story of the Brazilian Formula One legend Ayrton Senna, the film won BAFTAs for Best Documentary and Best Editing, was nominated for Outstanding British Film and won the World Cinema Audience Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. AMY world premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and tells the story of Amy Winehouse in her own words. AMY is the highest grossing UK documentary of all time, the film won the BAFTA for Best Documentary, the Grammy for Best Music Film and the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. KAPADIA continues to direct short films alongside his long form projects.
bradford young, asc - cinematogapher, arrival, selma, a most violent year
Originally from Louisville, KY Bradford Young is a cinematographer who studied under the tutelage of filmmaker Haile Gerima.
His recent film contributions include Denis Villeneuve’s, ARRIVAL for which he is nominated for an Academy Award (Oscar) and BAFTA for best cinematography. Ava DuVernay’s SELMA, which was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Picture and won for Best Original Song. JC Chandor’s, A MOST VIOLENT YEAR, for which Bradford was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Cinematography in a Motion Picture. David Lowrey’s, AIN’T THEM BODIES SAINTS and Andrew Dosunmu’s MOTHER OF GEORGE for which he was awarded the 2013 Sundance US Dramatic Competition Excellence in Cinematography award for both films. Other films include Dee Rees’ PARIAH, for which he won the 2011 Sundance US Dramatic Competition Excellence in Cinematography award, Ava DuVernay’s MIDDLE OF NOWHERE, Tina Mabry’s, MISSISSIPPI DAMNED, Paola Mendoza’s ENTRE NOS, Andrew Dosunmu’s, RESTLESS CITY.
Currently Bradford is shooting Lord and Miller’s Untitled Han Solo Star Wars Film.
Bradford is an 2014 inductee into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. And a 2015 inductee into the American Society of Cinematographers.

Jason Solomons is one of the UK's best-known film critics. On television, he is the host of the globally-syndicated interview show Movie Talk and a regular reviewer and expert on BBC News. On radio, he is BBC Radio London's long-standing film critic and a reviewer on Radio 2's Arts Show and Radio 4's Front Row, for whom he has covered the last ten Cannes Film Festivals. Jason's book Woody Allen: Film by Film came out to acclaim in 2015. After a long career reviewing for newspapers including The Observer and The Mail on Sunday, his reviews and podcasts can now be found on:
